Great to meet you!

Clients should know that I bring both professional and lived experience into my work. As a first-generation Latin Caribbean woman, I understand how culture, environment, and life experiences shape who we are. I’ve worked across addiction, harm reduction, hospital, and primary care settings, supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, chronic illness, substance use, and eating disorders. I value helping you become more introspective, understanding how you became who you are, while teaching coping skills that will last a lifetime. My goal is to help you find your inner calm, whatever that looks like for you. Support both emotional and physical wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is centered on building practical coping skills that you can use in your everyday life. While we take time to understand your experiences and patterns, the focus is on helping you actively manage emotions, reduce anxiety, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. I work collaboratively with you to develop tools for emotional regulation, improve self-awareness, and strengthen how you navigate relationships and stress. My goal is for you to leave therapy not just with insight, but with lasting skills that help you feel more in control, grounded, and confident in handling life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to feel like a conversation where we begin getting to know you. We will start with your experiences, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you’re hoping to gain from it. We’ll talk through your current challenges, any relevant history, and start identifying patterns or stressors. I’ll also explain how I work and what therapy with me can look like. While the first session is primarily about understanding you, we may begin introducing initial coping strategies or tools if appropriate. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, comfortable, and with a clearer sense of direction moving forward.
