Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kelli. I received my professional training from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, but much of what shapes my work also comes from life experience and the healing I’ve found while navigating my own challenges. I believe our struggles can become places of growth, and therapy can offer a space where healing begins with honesty, understanding, and compassion.

I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in Nebraska and work with individuals, couples, and families, particularly in rural communities. Before transitioning into community mental health, I spent many years in the public school system as both a music educator and school counselor, which deepened my appreciation for the many ways people experience stress, change, and resilience.

I specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-injury, and eating disorders, while also supporting clients facing a wide range of life challenges. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to move toward healing and greater emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is flexible and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches and integrate them thoughtfully based on what will best support your healing. I have completed both basic and advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which can be especially helpful for processing trauma and deeply rooted emotional experiences.

I also offer QEEG brain mapping and neurotherapy, which provide real-time feedback about brain activity to help reinforce healthier brain functioning. For many people who have struggled despite previous counseling experiences, these approaches can offer new insight and meaningful progress toward lasting emotional and neurological balance.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where their story is honored. One quote that guides my work is, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.” None of us move through life without experiencing deep hurt or brokenness. Sometimes our struggles come from our own choices, and other times from wounds caused by others. Together, we gently explore those places of pain so they no longer define you. My hope is to help you rediscover your worth, reconnect with your identity, and begin finding hope and healing again.
