Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kelly Cramer, a licensed professional counselor in Colorado and an LPCC in New Mexico. I have spent much of my career supporting kids, teens, and young adults—both in schools and through telehealth—so I’m comfortable with the real-life pressures that show up at home, at school, and in relationships. I also specialize in supporting adults through trauma, life transitions, and stress. I am a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision at Oregon State University, with a research interest in the intersection of climate change and mental health. I care a lot about doing this work, engaging with thoughtfulness and integrity. I am noted as a therapist who is warm, practical, and genuinely on your team.

My approach to therapy

My style is collaborative and down-to-earth: we’ll talk about what’s happening, name what’s hard, and build a plan that actually fits your life. I often use CBT and mindfulness to help you understand patterns, reduce overwhelm, and strengthen coping skills. I also use experiential tools when they’re a good match, especially when talking feels like it only gets you so far. And if substance use is part of your story, I’m comfortable working from a recovery-focused, harm-reduction, skills-based approach.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, we’ll slow things down and focus on what you want help with right now—no pressure to “tell your whole life story” in one sitting. We’ll talk through your goals, what you’ve already tried, and what support would feel most helpful. You can expect a steady, nonjudgmental space where we move at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Before we wrap up, we’ll identify a clear next step (and often a simple strategy you can try between sessions), so you leave feeling a bit more grounded.
