Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kelsey. I bring over a decade of experience across inpatient and outpatient medical and behavioral health settings to my private practice. Holding a master’s degree in clinical social work and a liberal arts degree with a major/minor in psychology and studio art, I blend evidence-based care with a deeply human, creative perspective. My approach is grounded in both professional clinical experience and my own lived experience.

Specialties include:

  • Anxiety, depression, trauma, and restrictive eating disorders
  • Loss and grief
  • Major life transitions, identity exploration, and LGBTQ-affirming care
  • Adjustment to chronic illness or disability, palliative care, and caregiver stress

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy as a collaborative conversation where you are the expert on your own life. Without judgement, I ask thoughtful questions and listen actively to help you draw out your own meaningful insights and conclusions. My style is values- and strengths-based, incorporating genuine curiosity, practical problem-solving, humor, and compassion to help you navigate whatever you're facing.

I use a research-backed 8–12 session approach that hits the sweet spot for real, meaningful progress—without feeling like you’re in therapy forever. Together, we’ll tackle specific challenges, build a toolkit of practical coping skills, and celebrate your growth as you complete therapy. Whether that marks the end of your therapy journey or simply a pause until a new life shift comes up, you leave with lasting tools—and my virtual door is always open.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is primarily a relaxed opportunity for us to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. Together, we’ll talk through what’s bringing you to therapy now, your past therapy experiences, your current goals, and an overview of your psychosocial history. Structuring our first conversation around these areas gives us a clear picture of what you need and how we can best work together in our 8-12 sessions.
