Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 10 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. My background includes crisis intervention, school-based social work, medical social work, behavioral health, and working with diverse populations, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and families.

I have extensive experience working with military veterans, including veterans experiencing homelessness and those navigating substance use, trauma, mental health challenges, and major life transitions. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, respectful, and judgment-free support.

I am also pursuing my Doctor of Social Work (DSW), with research focused on sexual minority populations and substance misuse. My doctoral work explores social and environmental factors that can influence mental health and substance use, strengthening my commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and evidence-informed care.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being your authentic self.

Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Come as you are, and we’ll start from there. I’d be honored to hear your story, support you through what you’re experiencing, and walk alongside you toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy should be a safe, judgment-free space where you can be honest, feel heard, and be your authentic self.

I meet clients where they are and work with them to understand their experiences, identify strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful change. I draw from evidence-informed approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed interventions, while tailoring treatment to each person’s needs and goals.

I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use, emotional regulation, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I also have a strong interest in supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and military veterans, including veterans experiencing homelessness or substance use challenges.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, what you hope to gain from therapy, and any concerns or goals you would like to address. We’ll also explore your strengths, support system, and the experiences that may be affecting your current well-being.

Together, we’ll identify initial goals and begin developing a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. Come as you are, we’ll start where you are and take it one step at a time.
