Great to meet you!

I work with individuals who find themselves at a crossroads between who they want to be and who they think they’re “supposed” to be, especially as it relates to cultural, familial or societal demands. I understand the challenges of balancing outside expectations with personal desires, and I help clients manage that balance while learning to identify and advocate for their own needs, set boundaries, and strengthen their sense of self.

My understanding of intergenerational and cultural dynamics contextualizes and informs my approach to mental health and healing, especially when it comes to deeply-rooted internalized beliefs that can lead to feeling chronically conflicted, depressed or behind. I offer a space to unpack how patterns passed down through generations – whether spoken or unspoken – can impact our internal worlds, emotional lives, relationships, and even the way we measure our self-worth. I work with clients to explore new ways to connect with themselves, deconstruct ideas around perfectionism, and learn to move through life with more clarity, authenticity, and self-trust.

My approach to therapy

I have an eclectic style with a particular interest in Internal Family Systems, or “Parts” work. My approach is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and cultural awareness. I understand how difficult it can be to put long-held narratives and beliefs under the microscope, and how painful and scary it can feel to challenge the status quo – whether it’s a fear of letting others down, difficulty saying no, or the pressure to constantly prove your value.

Sessions are collaborative and exploratory, aimed at providing a supportive and empowering environment for clients to deepen their understanding of themselves and uncover what it looks like to show up authentically. My goal is to create an empathetic and non-judgmental space that validates my clients’ self-worth beyond their achievements, and helps my clients accept themselves, flaws and all. Some of the things we might focus on include boundary setting, investigating self-criticism, exploring relationship patterns, building self-compassion and exploring beliefs that may no longer be serving you.

What you can expect from me

I aim to build a space that feels both open and safe, where you feel supported in exploring, understanding, and ultimately accepting who you are.
