Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome. I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a background that spans two countries. I began my nursing career in the United Kingdom, where I have more than 40 years of nursing experience, and later trained as a Nurse Practitioner before specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the United States. This diverse clinical background allows me to integrate both medical and psychiatric perspectives, offering a holistic approach to care.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, and the ways life experiences past and present—shape emotional wellbeing, relationships, and day-to-day functioning. I also support families navigating emotional and behavioral challenges, recognizing the important role they play in healing and recovery.

My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe each person is the expert in their own life, and I work alongside you to better understand your experiences, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful and lasting change.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself or for your child, my goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that promotes healing, resilience, and overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach is holistic and trauma-informed. I consider the whole person, drawing on my medical and psychiatric training to understand how emotional, psychological, and physical factors intersect.

I work collaboratively alongside each individual and their families to identify goals and develop a plan that feels practical and supportive. My experience working with children, adolescents, and adults has reinforced the importance of recognizing how life experiences can shape emotional well-being, relationships, and day-to-day functioning.

My style is warm, attentive, and strengths-based, incorporating psychoeducation and, where relevant, medication management, so you feel informed and involved in every step of your care.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I will take time to understand your concerns, your background, and what has brought you to seek support at this time, or, for families, what is happening with your child or adolescent.

Together, we will explore your goals, discuss your current challenges, and talk through how I work so you know what to expect moving forward. I welcome your questions and want you to feel informed and involved in your care from the very beginning.

By the end of the session, my hope is that you feel heard, respected, and reassured that you do not have to navigate this alone.
