Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome!

I'm Kerene Phillips-Ross, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience caring for individuals across a variety of healthcare settings. My background in psychiatric nursing has allowed me to work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns.

I earned my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner education from Regis College and provide evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to each individual's unique needs. I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and involved in their treatment decisions. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where we work together to improve your mental health and overall well-being.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, and other mood and anxiety disorders. Whether you are seeking help for the first time or looking for ongoing support, I strive to develop personalized treatment plans that promote lasting wellness and help you achieve your goals.

I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward better mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe the best outcomes are achieved when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. I take the time to understand each person's unique experiences, goals, and challenges before developing a personalized treatment plan.

I use a holistic approach that considers the connection between mental, emotional, and physical health. Treatment may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, education, and practical coping strategies tailored to your individual needs and preferences. My goal is to help you better understand your symptoms, build resilience, and develop the tools needed to achieve lasting wellness.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, and other mood and anxiety disorders. I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly and feel supported throughout your mental health journey.

Whether you are seeking care for the first time or returning to treatment, I am committed to partnering with you to help you reach your goals and improve your quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, my priority is getting to know you and understanding what brought you to seek care. We'll discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and treatment goals in a supportive, judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.

Together, we'll complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, identify your strengths and challenges, and begin developing a personalized treatment plan. If medication is appropriate, we'll discuss your options, including potential benefits, risks, and side effects, so you can make informed decisions about your care. We may also explore therapy goals, coping strategies, and other resources that can support your overall well-being.

By the end of your first appointment, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of your diagnosis or areas of concern, an individualized treatment plan, and a roadmap for moving forward. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about your journey toward improved mental health.
