Great to meet you!

I have been in practice since early 2013 and started growing my private practice by late 2014. I carry two licenses, one in mental health and one in substance use. Though I have worked and trained across settings, I consider myself a specialist in adults with ADHD, work-life balance, substance use, anxiety, and depression.

My approach to therapy

For the most part I make use of Solution-focused Brief Theory, with the exception that I am interested in how the problem came to be. To construct or search for solutions, Cognitive Behavioral Theory is very helpful. I do enjoy somatic approaches and can be quite practical (I love tools). In other words, I want you to be able to help you outside of our sessions also.

What you can expect from me

What may stand out about me as a therapist is my sense of humor. Outside of this hopefully valuable metric, I prefer to meet my clients where they are and match their pace when possible. In the first session we are generally information gathering. Because of my experience in Employee Assistance however, I am pretty good at hitting the ground running. I want new clients to feel that the first session has helped.
