Great to meet you!

Life can be hard. Thankfully, you don't have to figure it out alone.

I'm a licensed psychologist who helps people heal after trauma, navigate major life transitions, and build lives that feel meaningful, even when life refuses to cooperate. I believe that while suffering is an unavoidable part of being human, it doesn't have to define us or determine where our story goes next.

I have particular experience and interest working with BIPOC clients, Veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, people in polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships, and those seeking a sex-positive and kink-affirming therapist. I also work with many men and people who identify as men who are looking for a therapist who understands the unique challenges of masculinity, identity, and relationships.

Above all, my goal is to create a space where you can show up as your full self, without needing to self-edit, perform, or have everything figured out. (Very few of us actually do.)

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we'll work to understand what's getting in your way, clarify what matters most to you, and identify practical steps toward the life you want to live. I believe most clients have the solutions to their own challenges. We have a tendency to just get stuck or get in our own way and need outside help to move forward.

My style is warm, curious, and adaptable. Depending on what you need, our work may include humor, thoughtful challenges, genuine self-disclosure, or moments of radical honesty. Every client is different, and I try to meet people where they are rather than expecting them to fit into a particular style of therapy.

My work is primarily grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on helping people build fulfilling, values-driven lives even in the presence of painful thoughts, emotions, or circumstances. When appropriate, I also provide evidence-based treatments for PTSD and trauma to help clients process difficult experiences and move forward.

What you can expect from me

The first session is less about jumping straight into "fixing" things and more about getting to know you as a whole person.

I'll spend much of our time listening and asking questions, not only about what's bringing you to therapy, but also about your relationships, interests, strengths, values, and the experiences that have shaped your life. We'll begin identifying your goals for therapy and discuss which treatment approach seems like the best fit.

By the end of the session, my hope is that you'll have a clearer sense of how I work, whether we seem like a good fit, and what our path forward could look like. Sometimes we accomplish all of that in one session; sometimes it takes two. Either way, there's no rush.
