Great to meet you!

My name is Kiersten. I have been a counselor for over 10 years. I completed my masters at ECU in 2015 in substance sue and clinical counseling. I have worked with adults and children in settings including in the home, school, and community both in person and virtually.

My approach to therapy

I believe in person centered and choice theory. Basically this means that I will go as far as my client's choose to go in therapy. It is a persons decisions on what they want to work on for themselves and their lives. We all have choices and I work to help people remember those choices and help them pick the best one for themselves.

What you can expect from me

My first session is usually a "get to know you" where we both get to know each other and talk about what the purpose of therapy is as well as what your expectations are from therapy.
