Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Kiersten, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut. I graduated with my Masters in 2016 from Fordham University and have been practicing for 4 years. I am currently a doctoral candidate at the University of New England in Advanced Clinical Practices. I treat clients from ages 18 and up. I have experience treating clients with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma and other mood disorders. I believe that there is always hope in any situation and that we can tailor any treatment to meet your needs.

My approach to therapy

I have a breadth of experience in treating mood and personality disorders, trauma and women's issues. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and I also utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, Christian Based Therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy, and Solutions Focused Brief Therapy. I will explore with you what treatment and plan is based tailored to meet your needs.

What you can expect from me

The first session can be the hardest as we'll start with a brief introduction to each other while beginning to explore the challenges you are facing. I understand that it can be scary to open up to someone new and I want to remind you that this is a relationship so we will take time to get to know each other in our future sessions while creating a plan that fits your needs. I have an empathetic approach to clients. We are in this together to improve your life.
