Great to meet you!

Hello, I am LCSW with 20 plus years supporting people who have experienced grief and loss, anxiety depression and many other mental health related issues. I have worked in cancer care and long-term care planning with adults and their families who have dealt with advanced illness. I have experience with Narcissistic abuse and abuse and recovery. I am a middle-aged woman who understand and is experiencing menopause symptoms and how is can effect women and the people they love. I welcome LGBTQ community and my work with a diverse population of young adults, adults and older adults who would like to process what is happening or has happened in their lives and to assist with finding strategies to pivot and cope, when our life feels heavy. Sometimes just processing your life experiences can make you feel better.

My approach to therapy

My strengths based, empowering approach to understanding the needs my clients has assisted me in developing strong relationship bonds to assist in helping cope better while gaining more positive self esteem and self worth. I worked for several years in cancer care and advanced illness, with my specialty being in Hospice and Palliative Care. I have experience with anger, depression and anxiety and panic and trauma , LGBTQ and gender affirming issues. I offer an authentic and compassionate experience without judgement. I use an eclectic mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical behavioral therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy, and grief therapy.

What you can expect from me

An authentic and strength base approach to working with you to see a different perspective on solving your problems and learning coping strategies for getting through what life throws your way. My goal is to provide a safe and welcoming place for you to open up about your life experiences. After our Initial Assessment we can begin your journey to feeling more confident, worthy and grounded. Afterall, the only thing we can control is how we react to life situations.
