Great to meet you!

My name is Kim Barnett and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I hold licenses in Oregon and in California. I have a Master’s degree in Psychology from Chapman University. With more than 20 years of experience, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals that struggle with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, sexual abuse, serious persistent mental illness, domestic violence, drug and alcohol related issues, military members and veterans, and of course couples and families. I believe in an individual’s ability to recover from mental illness as well as a family’s ability to establish strong connection.

My approach to therapy

My approach is to use evidence based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.
