Great to meet you!

I am licensed in Michigan with a little over 10 years of professional work experience. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in creating an open, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I strive to foster a therapeutic space built on trust, collaboration, and authenticity, where clients can feel heard and understood as they work toward meaningful change. I believe that taking the first step toward a more fulfilling and happier life requires courage, and I view my role as walking alongside clients as they navigate that process. I support clients in identifying their strengths, developing insight, and building practical tools to manage life’s challenges while moving toward their personal goals and values.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive conversation focused on understanding what brought them to therapy and what they hope to get out of it. There’s no pressure to share everything at once; the goal is to go at a pace that feels comfortable.

We’ll talk about current concerns, relevant background, and any symptoms or stressors you’ve been experiencing. I’ll also ask questions to get a clearer picture of your strengths, supports, and what has or hasn’t helped in the past. This helps us begin shaping a direction for treatment that fits your needs.

Part of the first session will also include reviewing confidentiality, informed consent, and how therapy works so you know what to expect moving forward. You’ll have space to ask questions as well.

My focus is on creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can begin to feel heard and understood. By the end of the session, we’ll usually identify some initial goals and discuss a general plan for how we might move forward together.
