Great to meet you!

I've been a counselor for over 25 years, and one of the things I've learned is that people's lives hold profound meaning.

I don't believe meaning is something we create. I believe it's something we uncover because it has been there all along.

I don't think of my work as helping people become someone new. I think of it as helping people return to who they already are.

Life has a way of burying us. Sometimes beneath grief. Sometimes beneath trauma. Sometimes beneath anxiety, depression, shame, fear, loss, or the messages we've come to believe about ourselves. We adapt. We survive. We learn ways to cope.

But underneath all of that is a person with profound worth, purpose, and meaning.

I'm deeply relational. I care about understanding people. I want to know your story—what has shaped you, what has wounded you, what gives you life, what you've lost, what you're longing for, and who you are underneath everything you've experienced.

I'm willing to go wherever we need to go to find you.

I'm not afraid of the hard places. I've found that's often where truth becomes clearer, hope begins to return, and healing begins to grow.

I believe some of life's richest treasures are buried just beneath the surface.

Helping people return to themselves.

That's the work I love!

My approach to therapy

My approach is deeply relational. I want to understand you before I try to understand the problem.

I ask a lot of questions because I believe our stories matter. As we begin connecting the dots, things that once felt confusing often begin to make sense.

I'm naturally drawn to what's beneath the surface. We'll explore the places that hold the most meaning, move at a pace that feels right, and stay with what's important long enough for clarity to emerge.

My hope is that you'll come to understand yourself more fully, live more authentically, strengthen your relationships, and experience greater freedom to become who you were created to be.

What you can expect from me

We'll start with your story.

I'll ask questions, listen carefully, and spend time getting to know you—not just what brought you to therapy, but who you are, what you've been carrying, and what matters most to you.

Together, we'll begin making sense of what you're experiencing and identify what you hope will be different. Some people leave with new insight. Others leave simply feeling understood for the first time in a long time. Both are meaningful places to begin.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you come. My job is to help us begin understanding your story, because I've found that when we understand the story, the path forward often becomes much clearer.
