Great to meet you!

Beginning therapy can feel like a vulnerable step. My goal is to create a safe and brave space where you feel encouraged, respected, and supported as you explore the concerns affecting your daily life. Grounded in Adlerian psychotherapy, my work focuses on understanding how early experiences, relational patterns, and beliefs about self and others influence current ways of coping. Together, we work to build insight, strengthen resilience, and move toward meaningful change aligned with your values, goals, and sense of purpose.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with experience providing outpatient therapy to adults across the lifespan. My professional background includes supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and co-occurring mental health and substance-related concerns. I primarily work with women from adolescence through later life, as well as adults seeking a relational, collaborative approach to therapy.

My approach is strengths-based and integrative. In addition to Adlerian therapy, I incorporate evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. I place a strong emphasis on encouragement, emotional regulation, and skill-building, helping clients develop healthier coping strategies, increase self-understanding, and foster a greater sense of belonging and confidence in their lives and relationships.

My approach to therapy

I am Encouraging, relational, and strengths-based.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a starting point — not a test, and not a deep dive before you’re ready. My goal is to get to know you and create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported.

Here’s what typically happens:

1. A Warm Welcome & Grounding the Space

We’ll start by getting comfortable. I’ll briefly go over confidentiality, your rights as a client, and what therapy looks like with me.

2. Understanding Your Story

You’ll have space to share what brought you in, what’s been hard lately, and what you’re hoping to change. There’s no pressure to have all the answers. This is simply a place for us to begin understanding the bigger picture together.

3. Exploring Your Goals

We’ll talk about what you want from therapy — whether that’s managing anxiety, healing from past experiences, improving relationships, or learning practical skills. Together, we’ll start shaping a plan tailored to your personality, pace, and needs.

4. Assessing What’s Going On

I’ll ask supportive, nonjudgmental questions about your:

  • symptoms
  • stressors
  • coping strategies
  • strengths
  • support system

This helps me understand what you’re navigating and how I can help.

5. Introducing Skills & Support Right Away

I offer grounding tools, coping strategies, and skills. You’ll leave with something practical you can start using immediately.
