Great to meet you!

I'm so proud of you. Taking the first step to start your journey towards healing can be tough, but you did it. The great news is that you are not on this path alone. I look forward to working in partnership to help you determine where you want this journey to lead you. With over 16 years of counseling experience as a licensed therapist and over 30 years in the helping profession, I've had the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds and life situations. Mood Disorders (Depression and Bipolar), Anxiety, ADHD, Mental Health and Substance Use (Dual Diagnoses), Grief, and Life Transitions are my areas of specialty.

My approach to therapy

I pride myself on building a therapeutic alliance with my clients. It's important to me to build a warm, positive therapeutic rapport. This sets the groundwork for you to feel safe and open up to share. It also helps us to work collaboratively on agreed upon goals.

What you can expect from me

You should expect a lot of information exchanging during our first session. I request feedback from you about what is it you expect from therapy. I also share what you should expect during our sessions and outside of sessions because, yes, I give homework. We will also identify 2-3 treatment goals to focus on to get started.
