Great to meet you!

Welcome!

Working as a LCMHC has been the privilege of my lifetime and I look forward to working with you on your journey towards authenticity, empowerment, and connectedness. I have worked with adults in a variety of settings, from community-based social work to college campus counseling. I enjoy working with spirituality, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, interpersonal violence, women’s issues, mindfulness, gender, and the LGBTQ+ community.

My approach to therapy

I draw from Existential, Feminist, and Person-Centered theories, supplemented by a diverse spiritual education background and skills-based work. We will work to understand and create meaning in client's lives, as well as address social power differentials and hierarchies within systems. I don't believe that people are broken or need to be “fixed,” but experience natural responses to difficult circumstances, instead needing compassion, understanding, and support in tough times.

What you can expect from me

I am always happy to do a brief, 15-minute, consultation to share information and answer questions.

Our first appointment will be an intake and take about 50 minutes. To begin, I will provide you with policies about confidentiality and telehealth. Then, the rest of our time will be spent gathering information about you, some history, and what is currently bringing you to counseling. If we determine it to be a good fit, we get to scheduling!
