Great to meet you!

I'm Kirsten, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma with ten years in the helping professions, working as a case manager, counselor, and peer specialist. I started my career in behavioral health case management, and that background shapes how I show up for clients: practical, direct, and focused on what actually helps. What makes my practice different is that I hold both an LPC license and a Certified Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) credential, which means I can meet you in the clinical work and in the human side of recovery with the same person, in the same space. My approach is integrative and client-led, and while my work is grounded in faith, you don't have to share my beliefs to benefit from care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and client-led, which means I adapt to what is most useful for each person rather than following a single framework. I draw from cognitive behavioral techniques, trauma-informed practice, motivational interviewing, and faith-integrated care. My primary focus is addiction and substance use disorder, including relapse prevention and recovery support, and I also work with clients navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I believe recovery is not just clinical work but also deeply human work, and holding both a licensed counselor credential and a peer recovery support specialist certification allows me to meet clients in both places.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not a commitment. My goal is to understand where you are right now, what has brought you to this point, and what you are hoping to get out of our work together. We will talk through what a typical session looks like, go over any questions you have about the process, and start building a picture of what support actually looks like for you. You will leave the first session with a clearer sense of whether this is the right fit, and that is the only goal I have for that hour.
