Great to meet you!

With 20 years of clinical experience, I specialize in exposure to trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and fertility issues. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (BA Psychology), and from Harvard University with my Master's of Education (EdM) in Risk and Prevention, and Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in Counseling. I provide evidence-based treatments to adults, teens, and children (ages 6+) from various backgrounds, and provide therapy in English and Spanish. I work collaboratively with each client to set and achieve your goals. I'm a parent and appreciate the intense love and efforts along that journey. I love dogs, travel, sports, martial arts, and trying new foods.

My approach to therapy

I can use either an integrative approach to therapy based in cognitive behavioral principles or more manualized treatments. I am nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and utilize a variety of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Child Traumatic Grief Therapy, Risk Reduction through Family Therapy, and Complicated Grief.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I'll welcome you and get to know more about you-- what brings you to therapy, what your goals are, and how you're hoping I'll help. I'll learn about the things you enjoy and are going well, as well as the areas you're hoping to improve.
