Great to meet you!

After earning my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, I became a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, a National Certified Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. For more than 20 years, I’ve been dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of settings—both in-person and virtual. My clinical experience includes supporting individuals facing challenges such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, conduct disorders, chronic health conditions, and adjustment-related issues. Currently, I offer individual virtual therapy sessions, helping clients navigate life’s complexities and foster lasting emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

My counseling approach is somewhat eclectic, thoughtfully integrating elements of person-centered, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. I believe that building a strong therapeutic alliance is essential—one that is grounded in trust, collaboration, and a deep respect for each client’s strengths and personal goals. Depending on the nature of the presenting concerns—whether it's processing past trauma, navigating current challenges, or managing future anxieties—I tailor my therapeutic strategies to meet the client’s unique needs, using either a solution-focused or insight-oriented approach to promote growth and healing.

What you can expect from me

I believe the true work of therapy happens outside the session—when clients begin applying the skills and insights they've gained to real-life situations. To support this process, I often incorporate homework assignments and carryover exercises tailored to each client’s needs. These may include practicing mindfulness techniques, journaling, implementing anger management strategies, improving communication skills, or engaging in exposure-based activities. Together, we develop practical, goal-oriented strategies designed to empower clients, foster personal growth, and enhance their overall quality of life.
