Kristin Hammond

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of North Carolina and Florida. I truly love what I do. I have 28 years experience in outpatient therapy. I received both my BSW and MSW from East Carolina University. Adults and couples are my primary population. I work with a broad range of issues including anxiety, panic, depression, chronic illness, life stressors, self-esteem struggles, and other emotional or behavioral issues. I have a passion for working with people who struggle with chronic illness due to my own experiences with MS.

I tend to use an eclectic style of therapy, mainly drawing upon CBT along with supportive counseling, solution focused therapy, mindfulness, and motivational type modalities. Your treatment will be based on your needs and will be at your pace. Therapy is definitely a collaborative process and I am truly honored to walk alongside my clients as they heal.

I think the most important thing to successful therapy is having a connection with your therapist. Rapport and trust are crucial in your path to healing. I really work hard to meet people where they are at and show respect and honor to their values and beliefs system.
