Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of professional social work experience, including 11 years providing clinical therapy. My background includes working with individuals with disabilities, as well as Child Protective Services (CPS) and Adult Protective Services (APS). I hold a strong commitment to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with an affirming, open-minded, compassionate, and solution-oriented approach. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and respected while working collaboratively to identify strengths, develop practical solutions, and encourage goal achievement.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is affirming, collaborative, and solution-oriented. I believe therapy is a partnership where clients are supported in exploring their experiences, identifying their strengths, and developing practical strategies for positive change. I strive to create a safe, open, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

I recognize that each person’s experiences and needs are unique. I tailor treatment to the individual, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques while honoring each client’s values, goals, culture, and personal perspective. My goal is to help clients gain insight, build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and move toward greater well-being, fulfillment and goal achievement.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, a comprehensive needs assessment is completed to better understand the concerns, strengths, current circumstances, and goals for therapy. Together, we identify and outline a few initial treatment goals that provide direction for the therapeutic process. These goals are revisited and adjusted as needed to ensure treatment remains relevant, collaborative, and responsive to progress and changing needs.
