Congratulations on taking this first step! I am an LMFT licensed in both California and Oregon. I work with adolescents and adults struggling with issues including depression, anxiety, life transition stress, difficulty with communication in relationships, reacting to and setting boundaries and critical self-talk.
I use a positive, nonjudgmental and actionable approach to therapy. Drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Theory I help clients uncover the negative thought patterns and beliefs that are getting in the way of feeling balanced, happy and satisfied in their lives. I provide real coping tools catered to each client to help create lasting change.
While each client has their own goals for therapy, I do find most typically need support around building confidence, setting healthier boundaries, improving self-care and learning to challenge and change the negative thinking patterns and beliefs that are keeping them feeling stuck and overwhelmed.
