Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and families through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I earned my Master of Social Work from Hawaiʻi Pacific University and have specialized training in trauma-focused care, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional and behavioral challenges, difficulties with emotional regulation, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I also work closely with parents and caregivers when appropriate to strengthen relationships and support positive change. I believe every stage of life brings unique challenges, and I strive to provide individualized care that reflects each person’s experiences, strengths, and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable being yourself while also gaining practical tools that can make a meaningful difference in your everyday life.

I draw from evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral and trauma-focused interventions, and adapt treatment based on each client’s age, experiences, strengths, and goals. With younger clients, this may include developmentally appropriate activities and caregiver involvement, while therapy with adults and older adults may focus more on coping skills, relationships, life transitions, emotional well-being, and navigating current stressors. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we’ll work together to determine what is most helpful for you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and understand what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, relevant experiences and history, strengths, support system, and what you would like to gain from treatment. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and share what you are looking for in a therapist.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before your first appointment. Together, we’ll identify the areas you would like to work on and begin developing realistic and meaningful goals for therapy. Most importantly, I aim to create a comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients of all ages feel heard, respected, and understood.
