Great to meet you!

Warm Greetings! My name is Kylie Stahl, LCMHC-QS providing psychotherapy and supervision services to North Carolina. In 2013, I received my certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher 200hr from Asheville Yoga Center. In 2017, after taking a 7 year break, I finally finished my bachelors from Brevard College majoring in psychology and minoring in Wilderness Leadership and Experiential Education. In 2019, I graduated with my masters in Counseling Clinical Mental Health from Western Carolina University. Throughout my career I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults within several atmospheres including community, recreational, residential, and private practice. In my spare time I enjoy playing outside, climbing and hiking with my family. I am a native of WNC and grew up playing in Pisgah. I continue to value the joy of playing outside, climbing and hiking with my family.

My approach to therapy

I strive to create an affirming therapeutic space, and believe that the client-therapist relationship is the most important aspect in anyones therapeutic journey. I work with a general population with depression and anxiety. I specialize working with client's who have been impacted by trauma as well as grief. I enjoy working with woman and mothers navigating the whole journey to parenthood. I enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ population as well as client's working through life transitions (navigating identity, college, young adult, new parents, etc....). I utilize a holistic approach pulling from evidence based practices such as Cognitive behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and EMDR, catering towards each client's specific needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

While each session can look different, I strive towards creating a safe environment where my client's leave feeling a little emotionally lighter. As mentioned earlier, some session may just be spent venting and exploring emotions from weekly stressors while other sessions we may explore some of those dark caves.
