Great to meet you!

Welcome to True North Mental Health Counseling, LLC!

With over 10 years of clinical experience, I deliver high-quality online therapy tailored to meet you exactly where you are. I specialize in treating anxiety, PTSD, and depression through a collaborative virtual approach. I bring six years of experience supporting Veterans and a decade of leadership and clinical work to every session. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and supported. I tailor care to your needs and help you build practical tools, insight, and confidence so you can feel more grounded now and move toward the life you want.

My practice combines your personal expertise with proven methods, including:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
  • Trauma-Informed Care

My background includes six years of dedicated service supporting Veterans, alongside a decade of advancing leadership roles and proven excellence in the clinical field. Together, we will safely build the practical tools and insights you need to confidently manage the present and achieve your future goals.

My approach to therapy

I have worked exceptionally well clients of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs throughout my career with the Veteran's Administration, in the community and in multiple states. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and goal-oriented. I use EMDR, CBT, and solution-focused therapy to help you process painful experiences, shift unhelpful patterns, and make meaningful progress. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and practical, with strategies you can use in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

The first session will include going over forms you've completed and beginning to work together toward a plan for treatment. I’ll get to know your story, what is bringing you in, and what you want to change. We’ll review any relevant background, clarify your goals, and begin building a treatment plan that feels realistic and personalized. You can expect a welcoming, thoughtful space where we start creating a clear path forward together.
