Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maryland and Washington, D.C., I believe that everyone can benefit from having someone to talk to—someone who can help you process, organize, and most importantly, grow through life’s challenges.

Acknowledging that you're struggling or can’t solve everything on your own is not easy. Life’s trials and tribulations can feel overwhelming. My role is to walk alongside you on this journey, offering support, perspective, and practical tools so that, together, we can build a toolbox of strategies to help you reach the goals that brought you to therapy in the first place.

I’ve worked in the field of social work for over 20 years, supporting both women and men through a wide range of experiences. In the past decade, I’ve expanded my focus to include youth and young adults, helping them navigate. identity, transitions, and mental wellness with care and respect.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is deeply personal and collaborative. I believe that healing begins with a genuine connection, so I focus on creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and safe. I don't come into sessions as the 'expert' with all the answers—instead, I walk alongside you, helping you uncover your own insights and strengths.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and narrative therapy, but I tailor our work together based on your unique story, values, and goals. I honor the whole person—your history, your culture, your identity—and I’m always open to feedback and adjusting our process to meet your evolving needs.

Therapy, to me, is less about fixing and more about discovering: rediscovering your voice, your resilience, and your capacity for growth. "I listen and I do not judge"

What you can expect from me

Every person’s experience with therapy is unique. The more effort and intentionality you bring into your sessions, the more likely you are to gain what you’re hoping for from the therapeutic process.

Some takeaways clients can expect to take away from session are but not limited to:

  • Greater self-awareness: Understanding your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns more clearly.
  • Coping strategies: Tools for managing stress, anxiety, depression, or difficult emotions.
  • Improved communication: Especially in relationships—learning to express needs, set boundaries, and listen actively.
  • Emotional support: A consistent, nonjudgmental space to process pain, grief, trauma, or transitions.
  • Goal-setting & accountability: Working toward personal goals and having someone help keep you grounded.
  • Healing & growth: Therapy can help reframe negative self-beliefs and foster a more compassionate view of yourself.

Progress in therapy doesn’t always happen in a straight line, there may be ups and downs along the way. But over time, many people find that they gain a clearer understanding of themselves, feel more confident in handling life’s challenges, and experience greater emotional stability.
