Great to meet you!

Before I became a therapist, I spent years in the classroom as a 9th grade English teacher and school social worker, as well as in nonprofit, learning how people grow through story, creativity, and being truly seen. That background, along with a lifelong love of dance, writing, and music, shapes how I practice as an LCSW today. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, stress, and identity, and I bring the same warmth and directness I developed in education to every session. If you are looking for a therapist who will be both a steady presence and an honest thinking partner, I would love to connect.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative and direct, with the goal to provide a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you work toward meaningful change. Rooted in CBT, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy, I tailor therapy to each individual, drawing from different techniques to best support your goals. I also emphasize healthy, holistic self-care as a key part of creating lasting change and maintaining well-being.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really a conversation, not an intake form. I will ask what is bringing you in, a bit about your history, and what you hope therapy will change for you. We will cover the basics of how I work so you feel oriented from the start. By the end, most people leave feeling a little lighter, not because anything has been solved yet, but because they have finally said the thing they have been carrying out loud, to someone who was listening. We go at your pace.
