Great to meet you!
I work with adults who face deep challenges. The experience of working with me will uncover subconscious triggers, while facing your daily decisions that come from these experiences, to untie the knots of internal discord. Our work will provide you with a new set of tools to deal with day-to-day life anchored in comfort, personal care and peace.
The only reason someone reaches out for therapeutic help is because there is a level of pain or discomfort that they are experiencing. When we try to solve our own problems, it’s like an infinity loop. The purpose of working with a therapist is to get an exit ramp. Another point of view. To help you shift your thinking.
Conflicts, expectations, trauma can only be resolved by bringing them to light with compassion, understanding, and guidance. My purpose is to be that guide. Then you can make decisions based on new goals without so many subconscious drivers. In our work together, we are going to be explorers. Exploring these issues. We are pulled in so many directions that we end up asking ourselves if we are responding to what we really want. Therapy answers those questions.
Examining our consciousness without conditions is how I assist my clients in having those healing “a-ha” moments.
When I retired from the military, I went back to school to become an LCSW-C and graduated from the Catholic University of America in 2008. I then did internships at the Washington Psychiatric Ward, and the Women’s Center in Virginia. Then, for seven years I worked supervising subordinate therapists at the Air National Guard. I then retired and began my private practice, both online and in person.
