Great to meet you!

I'm Larry Colby, a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in mental health since 2004. I have worked with trauma survivors and at-risk children most of my career. I am also a licensed English teacher who worked with advanced and at-risk kids.

I am trained in Clinical Trauma Therapy (CCTPI), EMDR, DBT, TF-CBT, CBTE, FBT, PCIT, Theraplay, Triple P, Sandtray, Child-Centered Play, Filia-Play, and Co-Parenting training

My preferred method of working with adults and older adolescents is a combination of CBT, DBT, EMDR and person-center therapy.

My preferred method of working with younger children and their parents is a combination of virtual play, CBT, PCIT, Theraplay, and Parenting systems such as Triple P.

My preferred method of working with eating disorders is CBTE and CBT-AR; and with anxiety it is Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). In working with kids, I use the Coping Cat Skills Workbook.

My approach to therapy

I believe in partnering with clients and meeting them where they are in life. I bring a nonjudgmental approach to counseling. I want to help you build a successful future.
