Great to meet you!

You can understand exactly why you’re hurting and still feel stuck. I work with adolescents 14+, adults, and couples navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, intense emotions, relationship difficulties, and longstanding patterns that are difficult to change. I bring nearly 20 years of clinical experience, including 11 years specializing in trauma and PTSD at the VA, serving on the faculty at Yale School of Medicine, and most recently working as Senior Clinical Director at Nema Health. I believe therapy should do more than help you talk about what hurts-it should help you change what happens next. I bring a great deal of training and experience to the room, but I also want therapy to feel human, comfortable, and centered on what matters most to you.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, direct, collaborative, and active. We will make space for your experiences while also identifying patterns, learning practical skills, and working toward meaningful change. Depending on your needs, I may draw from Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches. We will decide together what feels most useful and move at a pace that is both manageable and productive.

What you can expect from me

You don’t have to know exactly what kind of therapy you need before we meet. Our first session will be a thoughtful evaluation of what is happening, how it is affecting your life, what you have already tried, and what you want to be different. You will not be expected to tell your whole story at once, and I will make space for any questions or concerns you have. By the end, we will have a clearer understanding of what you need and begin deciding together what comes next.
