Great to meet you!

Sometimes life struggles prevent us from achieving our goals and leaves many people feeling worthless, hopeless, unloving, misunderstood and confused as to what the next steps are to move toward overcoming those barriers and living life to the fullest. I am pleased that you took the time to reach out for the support needed to possibly bring happiness, satisfaction, gaiety and contentment and peace of mind back into your life. I am a solution-focused counselor. I am accepting new client ages 6 to adults for individual, family, couples and group psychotherapy. I do utilize different methodologies to meet the need of the client(s).

I Graduated Cameron University with a MS Degree. I am currently trained in Basic Life Skills, Emergency Mental Health Aid, Cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma focused. I have been working in mental health for over 20 years.

My approach to therapy

I work with clients in a collaborative, supportive, and goal-focused way. My style is warm, direct, and practical: I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help clients clarify what they want to accomplish so we can create a plan that feels realistic and meaningful.

Clients can expect a respectful space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered. I focus on building trust first, then helping each person identify strengths, address challenges, and take steady steps toward progress. I believe change happens best when clients feel supported, informed, and actively involved in the process.

My areas of focus include helping clients navigate life transitions, stress, personal growth, communication challenges, relationship concerns, and emotional wellness. I also enjoy working with individuals who are seeking clarity, confidence, healthier coping skills, and a stronger sense of direction.

Overall, my approach is client-centered and strengths-based. I meet clients where they are, tailor support to their needs, and work alongside them with compassion, honesty, and encouragement.

What you can expect from me

In mental health counseling, I typically set goals that support clients in increasing self-awareness, developing healthy coping skills, improving emotional regulation, strengthening communication, and building resilience. Desired outcomes often include reduced symptoms, improved daily functioning, healthier relationships, greater confidence, and progress toward personal wellness goals. I strive to create a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental, and culturally responsive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences at their own pace.
