Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Lateefa Shabazz, LCSW. My approach is holistic and organic, rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and sensitivity. I work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, caregiver stress, and the impact of trauma, offering both compassion and practical tools.

Drawing from CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-focused therapy, I help clients build resilience, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change. Clients often describe me as authentic, warm, and down-to-earth. Together, we’ll focus on healing, balance, and growth—supporting you in moving toward a life that feels both grounded and fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel organic, meeting you where you are while honoring your lived experiences, cultural identity, and values. With cultural humility and sensitivity, I create a safe, supportive space where you can be fully yourself.

I integrate evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-focused therapy with practical, real-world strategies. Together, we’ll focus on building resilience, developing coping skills, and uncovering patterns that may be holding you back. My goal is to help you feel grounded, empowered, and capable of creating lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with practical tools and strategies they can apply right away, along with a deeper sense of clarity and self-awareness. My goal is to help you feel both supported and empowered—grounded in the present while building resilience for the future.

You’ll take away skills to manage stress and emotions, new perspectives on old patterns, and a stronger connection to your values and strengths. Most importantly, you’ll experience a safe, culturally sensitive space where your voice is honored and your growth unfolds at your own pace.
