Great to meet you!
Hi, I’m Latisha Gee Torres, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, mindfulness teacher, and wellness coach with over 20 years of experience helping people heal from emotional wounds and reconnect with themselves. My practice is rooted in the belief that therapy should be a safe and affirming space—especially for those who’ve spent much of their lives feeling unseen, unheard, or burdened by the need to always be strong.
I specialize in working with Black women and adult children of emotionally unavailable or addicted caregivers—folks who often struggle with anxiety, depression, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or relational trauma. Many of my clients appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck inside.
My approach blends evidence-based therapy with mindfulness and coaching. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic strategies, and trauma-informed care in a way that’s personalized, culturally responsive, and deeply supportive. Our work together is collaborative—you set the pace, and I walk beside you with compassion, curiosity, and intention.
Clients often describe our sessions as grounding, eye-opening, and a space where they can finally let go of “performing” and be real. I also offer post-session reflections, between-session support via secure messaging, and personalized practices to help you stay connected to your growth.
Outside of therapy, I’m a mother, a dog lover, and a Brooklyn native with a deep respect for resilience, softness, and the courage it takes to heal. If you’re ready to reclaim your voice, honor your needs, and step into a more aligned version of yourself—I’m here to support you.
