Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in aging‐affirming care for adults and older adults navigating emotional wellness, life transitions, and the evolving needs that come with aging. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and evidence‐based approaches, supported by my ongoing doctoral studies in gerontology. I help clients feel grounded, understood, and supported as they move through life changes such as retirement, caregiving shifts, health‐related adjustments, grief, and major role transitions. My style is warm, collaborative, and centered on honoring each person’s strengths, lived experiences, and unique aging journey.

My approach to therapy

An integrative therapy approach is used to support caregivers, older adults, and families experiencing depression, emotional distress, and relationship challenges. CBT, emotional‐regulation strategies, and Interpersonal Therapy help improve coping, communication, and daily functioning. Trauma responsive skills and foundational competencies in older adult mental health guide the use of evidence‐based interventions that fit each client’s unique needs.

What you can expect from me

The first session offers a calm, welcoming space where clients can feel safe and begin building trust at a pace that feels right for them. The conversation gently explores what has been weighing on them, whether depression, anxiety, trauma‐induced stress, or shifting roles and responsibilities and identifies what support might be most helpful. Clients are encouraged to share their story, ask questions, and collaborate on shaping a path that feels meaningful and manageable. This meeting sets the foundation for connection, understanding, and shared direction.
