Great to meet you!

Hello, I am a behavioral therapist with more than 12 years of experience working with individuals across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and correctional settings. I have extensive experience supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health, behavioral, and emotional needs. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from East Carolina University. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong commitment to helping individuals understand themselves, identify their strengths, develop effective coping skills, and make meaningful changes in their lives. I believe every person has the ability to grow, and I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and individualized. I recognize that there is no single approach that works for everyone, so I take time to understand each client’s unique experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals.

I use evidence-based therapeutic strategies to help clients recognize patterns of thinking and behavior, improve emotional regulation, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, and work toward meaningful personal goals. I believe therapy should be a partnership between the client and therapist, and I encourage clients to be active participants in their treatment. My goal is to create a safe space where clients can be honest about their experiences without fear of judgment while also being encouraged and challenged to grow.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment. We will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought you to therapy, identifying current concerns, and exploring what you would like to accomplish through treatment. I will listen to your experiences and work with you to begin identifying realistic and meaningful treatment goals. You do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My goal is to meet you where you are, help you feel comfortable, and work together to develop a plan that supports your emotional well-being and personal growth.
