Great to meet you!

If the past keeps showing up in how you react today, you are not alone, and it can change. I'm Laura, a therapist in New Mexico who works with adolescents and adults who are ready to feel less stuck and more like themselves. Together we will explore how earlier experiences shape your current responses, and build flexible, practical ways to navigate daily stress. I draw on EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness, always at a pace that feels safe for you. When you are ready, I would be glad to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My approach invites reflection and self-discovery, allowing you to develop self-awareness and compassion. I use reflective listening and evidence-based therapy to help you identify strengths and goals, process what may be stuck in your journey of growth and healing. I look forward to working with you to develop practical tools that meet your unique needs!

What you can expect from me

I believe clients are the main agent for change in their growth and healing. My goal as the therapist is to offer a kind and comforting space for you to explore current issues, take a look at root causes for discomfort and find strategies to help you feel more confident and in control. Your first session is really just a conversation. There is no pressure to have it all figured out. We will take time to get to know each other, talk about what brought you to therapy, and what you are hoping will feel different. Together we will shape a few goals and a plan that fits you, so you leave that first meeting feeling a little more grounded, confident, and hopeful about the path ahead. You set the pace, and I will meet you there.
