Great to meet you!

I am excited to connect with you. I hold a master's in psychology from Adams State University, which has provided me with a solid foundation in understanding human behavior and mental health. Professionally, I have 7 years of experience as a licensed professional counselor, working in community mental health, private practice, and other organizations. My focus has been on treatment areas including trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, couples counseling, grief, bipolar disorder, among others. I have a passion for helping individuals navigate their challenges to achieve personal growth and well-being.

I work with adults and couples, and I strive to create a supportive and empathetic space where we can explore your unique experiences and goals together. I believe in a collaborative approach, integrating evidence-based practices tailored to your individual needs.

Thank you for considering me as your support during this journey. I look forward to working together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is solution-focused and emphasizes warmth, care, and support. I strive to create a safe and empathetic environment while being bold and direct when necessary. I believe in addressing issues straightforwardly while keeping our focus on your future and the goals you wish to achieve. I want to help you address your trauma and heal so you can move forward in your life and find happiness, whatever that may look like to you. I want you to feel heard and understood and help you feel like you have a partner on this path to healing and enjoying a brighter future. I know that life can feel overwhelming and sometimes it is hard to believe things can change and I will be here to believe in you until you can believe in you.

What you can expect from me

During our first session you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where your comfort is a priority. We will take the time to get to know each other as we discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve through our work together.

I'll start by asking about your background and experience so understand your unique situation better. This initial conversation helps us establish a foundation for our therapeutic relationship. I encourage you to share openly, as this is your space to express your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

We'll also discuss the therapeutic process, including my approach and how we can work collaboratively toward your goals. By the end of our first session, I hope you will feel heard, understood, and optimistic about the path ahead.
