Great to meet you!

Dr. Laura Greenlee is a 2005 graduate of Walden University, with a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She also has an MS degrees in Psychology, Special Education and Physical Education. She is a Licensed Psychologist in Texas, and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) in NC. Dr. Greenlee is a psychology instructor in three universities. Dr. Greenlee has three adult children and five grandchildren. She has had several boxer dogs in the past, but has recently rescued a pitbull mix and a lab mix.

My approach to therapy

I primarily use CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and IFS approaches to help educate and inform clients so they may ultimately become their own agents of reformation. I operate from a strengths-based approach, encouraging clients to accentuate their uniqueness and use their strongest skills to affect enduring changes. Using the Stages of Change Model, which is used in Motivational Interviewing, I believe it is essential to meet clients where they are, in regard to readiness for change.

What you can expect from me

I believe that each individual with whom I have the opportunity to work deserves my utmost attention and compassion, as it takes a lot of courage to spill the soul to someone whom you know very little about! Although I have an abundance of graduate degrees and many years of experience in the field of counseling and psychology, it is clear to me that people don't care how much you know.....they only know how much you care.
