Laura Hitchmoth

My name is Dr. Laura Hitchmoth. I have been in practice for over 15 years. I am dual board certified in Adult Internal Medicine as well as Adult General Psychiatry. I obtained my ARNP at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, then pursued my Post Masters degree at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. I obtained my Doctoral Degree (DNP) in Adult Psychiatry also from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. I completed my residency at Tewksbury State Hospital (Department of Mental Health). My specialties include: general adult psychiatry, dual diagnosis, addictions medicine including Suboxone and Vivitrol MAT. I also specialize in Obesity medication management including GLP-1s as well preop psychiatric assessments for bariatric procedures.

My approach to care with my patients has always been that the client's needs and goals for treatment are paramount. I believe that both the provider and client work collaboratively towards the client's goals, which should be realistic and attainable for the ultimate success of the client

Clients will feel heard and at ease during our first session. They will leave with a clear mutual action plan.
