Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker who believes therapy should feel like a warm, engaging conversation rather than a clinical interrogation. After earning my Master’s in Social Work from Adelphi University in 2012, I spent years working in fast-paced inpatient psychiatry. While that experience was invaluable, I transitioned to private practice because I wanted to truly walk alongside my clients, witnessing their long-term growth and transformation. Today, I specialize in anxiety and have a passion for supporting women navigating major life transitions, the relentless pressure to "do it all," and the exhausting cycle of perfectionism.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is warm, inquisitive, and grounded in real-world authenticity—and yes, I believe there is always room for appropriate humor in healing. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, so I blend evidence-based strategies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with mindfulness and a strengths-based perspective. Together, we will look at how your thoughts are keeping you stuck, while actively identifying the unique resilience you already possess. My goal is to help you quiet the internal noise, drop the pressure to be perfect, and start living a life that actually feels like your own.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is entirely about comfort, connection, and taking a deep breath. I keep our initial meeting laid-back and conversational because I know that true vulnerability requires a foundation of safety and trust. We will talk about what has been feeling heavy lately, but we will also discuss your hopes and what makes you feel like you. You won't face any judgment here—just a curious, supportive partner ready to help you untangle your thoughts. By the end of our first hour, you will leave with a sense of relief, a clear understanding of how we will work together, and a collaborative roadmap for your healing journey.
