Great to meet you!

I am a fully licensed LCSW in the state of North Carolina. I have been a practicing therapist for 7 years and have over 11 years of mental health work experience. I earned a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the State University of New York at Albany in 2017. If you are on the fence about starting therapy or unsure of what to expect, I offer a complimentary 15 minute video or phone consult (your choice) to discuss questions, concerns and if our partnership would be a good fit.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is a person-centered approach combined with other evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing. I aim not to "fix" you but to support you in a safe space towards your journey to wellness. My hope is to encourage and empower you to see your full potential and to focus on your strengths as well as your areas of concern.

What you can expect from me

Making the decision to talk to someone can feel scary or intimidating but my goal is to support you each step of the way. Whether you are returning to therapy or just starting out, I strive to approach each individual and situation with an open mind, empathy and kindness. I believe effective therapy provides honest objectivity that can help you gain insight and motivate you to make positive changes in your life.
