My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to share their experiences openly. I work alongside clients as active partners in their care, integrating evidence-based therapeutic strategies with thoughtful medication management when appropriate. My focus is on understanding the whole person—biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors—to develop realistic, meaningful goals that align with each client’s values and strengths. I emphasize education, skill-building, and insight to promote long-term stability, improved coping, and sustained emotional well-being, while meeting clients where they are in their healing journey.

What you can expect from me

During your first visit, we will focus on getting to know you as a whole person—not just your symptoms. This initial appointment is a collaborative assessment where we will discuss your concerns, personal history, current stressors, and goals for treatment. My aim is to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and supported. Together, we will begin developing an individualized treatment plan that may include education, medication management, and supportive strategies tailored to your needs. Typical goals include improving symptom control, enhancing daily functioning, strengthening coping skills, and supporting overall emotional well-being. Outcomes are revisited regularly, and treatment is adjusted as we work together toward meaningful and sustainable progress at a pace that feels right for you.
