Great to meet you!

I believe life is going to hand all of us a few plot twists, some we choose, many we don't. The good new is I also believe that healing is part of who we are. Our minds and bodies naturally move toward healing when we have the right support, tools, and space to listen to what they're trying to tell us. You don't have to keep suffering, and you don't have to figure it all out alone.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas and Idaho, I work with adults navigating life's challenges and transitions, including anxiety, trauma, depression, substance use, and phobias such as driving anxiety and health anxiety. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply tired of living in survival mode, my goal is to help you reconnect with your own ability to heal and move forward with greater confidence and peace.

My path to private practice began in an intensive outpatient program, where I completed my internship and continued working for a year. During that time, I facilitated numerous therapy groups and witnessed the incredible resilience that people discover when they feel truly seen and understood. Those experiences continue to shape how I show up for my clients today.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies, primarily EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I see symptoms not as signs that something is "wrong" with you, but as messages from a nervous system that's been working hard to protect you. Together, we'll get curious about those messages, develop practical tools, and help the parts of you that have been carrying too much for too long.

If you're ready for things to feel different, I'd be honored to walk alongside you. I believe the capacity to heal is already within you. Sometimes you just need someone to help you find the pathway back.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all because people are individuals with different beliefs and values. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered, which means we work together to find what feels most helpful for you. I strive to create a space where you can be fully yourself, without judgment, pressure, or the feeling that you have to "have it all together."

I integrate evidence-based approaches with curiosity, warmth, and a healthy dose of humanity. I primarily use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients process trauma, reduce anxiety, and better understand the protective patterns that may no longer be serving them. Rather than viewing symptoms as something to fight against, I see them as important signals, your mind and body's way of asking for care and attention.

I have also completed Levels I and II of Gottman Method training, which deepened my understanding of relationships, communication, and the ways our connections with others shape our emotional well-being. While I primarily work with individuals, this training helps me support clients as they navigate relational challenges, set healthier boundaries, and build more fulfilling connections.

Above all, I believe you already have the capacity to heal. My role isn't to "fix" you. It's to help you access the strengths, resilience, and wisdom that are already within you while providing practical tools and guidance along the way. Healing isn't about becoming someone new; it's about reconnecting with the person you've always been beneath the stress, fear, and pain.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you've never done it before. Many people wonder, "So...what actually happens in the first session?"

Think of it like going to a doctor. You wouldn't expect them to hand you a treatment plan, or give you a shot before they've had a chance to understand what's bringing you in. Therapy works much the same way.

Our first session is about getting to know you. We'll take a thoughtful look at the experiences, relationships, strengths, challenges, and life events that have shaped your story. I'll ask a lot of questions, not because I'm trying to put you under a microscope, but because together we're collecting the pieces of the puzzle. The more complete the picture, the better we can create a treatment plan that truly fits you.

From the very beginning, this is a collaborative process. You are the expert on your life, and I bring the clinical tools and perspective. Together, we'll decide where to begin and what healing looks like for you.

As we move beyond the intake, our sessions become less about gathering information and more about creating meaningful change.

Healing isn't a straight line. Some sessions may feel deeply reflective, others may focus on learning new skills, processing difficult experiences, or even sharing a laugh when it's needed. Every step has a purpose.

My goal is that you'll leave each session with a little more understanding, a lot more hope, and the confidence that lasting change is possible. You don't have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door, you just have to show up. We'll take it from there, together.
