Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist my primary focus is working with couples facing relationship and sexual issues.

I embrace the belief that each person is the expert of their life story and I apply a curious stance while working with clients toward meaningful change. Through compassion, non-judgement, authenticity and humor, clients feel safe enough to let their walls disappear.

My approach to therapy

You may be coming to therapy feeling disconnected, stuck, or unsure how to move forward—especially in your relationship or in your sexual connection with your partner. Even when you care deeply- stress, life transitions, or past experiences can make closeness and desire feel complicated. Therapy can be a place to slow down, feel supported, and reconnect.

I approach therapy as a collaborative, relational process. My focus is on understanding you—your story, your patterns, and what you’re longing for—rather than fixing or blaming. I aim to meet you where you are and help you create meaningful, sustainable change.

Through her compassion, non-judgement, authenticity and humor, clients feel safe enough to let their walls disappear.

Laurel has a long and rich life journey which has given her insight for understanding and helping individuals, couples and families navigate stuck patterns from a faulty belief system and distressing thoughts and feelings.

She is LGBTQIA+ allied, with experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, sexual functioning, attachment issues, parenting difficulties, family blending, infertility, eating disorders, medical diagnoses – traumatic brain injury, employment harassment, school/ career transitions and more.

Laurel balances her work life with interests outside of work. In her spare time, she is an avid hiker, dog and animal lover, Grandma, gardener, baker, and meditator.
