Great to meet you!

As a therapist, I offer a nonjudgmental, compassionate space where you can feel safe to explore your experiences, emotions, and goals. I specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma, co-occurring disorders, and emotional dysregulation. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), which helps clients build skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

I understand that healing is not linear—and that every person’s story is unique. Whether you're facing overwhelming emotions, struggling with addiction and mental health challenges, or trying to make sense of past trauma, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy, respect, and clinical expertise.

Together, we’ll work toward greater self-understanding, resilience, and meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices. I believe that healing happens in a space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow—without fear of judgment.

I draw from a range of clinical modalities to meet each client where they are:

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI): I use MI to support clients in exploring ambivalence and strengthening their own motivation for change. This approach honors your autonomy and helps you uncover your own reasons for growth.
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT): For clients working through trauma, CPT offers a structured way to challenge unhelpful beliefs and reduce the emotional impact of traumatic memories.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): DBT provides powerful tools for managing intense emotions, building distress tolerance, and improving relationships. I integrate DBT skills into sessions to help clients find balance between acceptance and change.
  • Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT): For those who struggle with overcontrol—perfectionism, emotional inhibition, or rigid thinking—RO-DBT fosters openness, flexibility, and authentic connection.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT helps clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. It’s a practical, goal-oriented approach that supports lasting change.

I tailor these approaches to each individual, always centering your goals, values, and lived experience. Whether you're navigating trauma, co-occurring disorders, or emotional dysregulation, I’m here to walk with you—compassionately and collaboratively—on your path to healing.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll explore what motivated you to seek support at this time, review any previous treatment you've had and how effective it was, and discuss how your current challenges are impacting your daily life. We'll also talk about your current stressors, coping strategies, and the support systems you have in place. This conversation helps us build a foundation for our work together and ensures that your therapy is tailored to your unique needs and goals.
