Great to meet you!

I’m a doctoral-trained licensed counselor. I’ve worked in private practice, the VA healthcare system, and digital health, and I’ve taught and supervised graduate counseling students.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, sleep difficulties, depression, substance use concerns, and life transitions. I’m especially interested in helping people develop life-long skills to regulate their emotions and nervous systems, and improve their relationships with themselves. I’m warm, straightforward, and genuinely invested in helping others improve their quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I believe you should leave therapy with more than the relief of having talked something through. You should also gain skills and a better understanding of yourself that help you navigate life outside our sessions. I’ll listen closely and make space for what you’re going through, but I’ll also ask questions, share what I’m noticing, and help us address the challenges that brought you in.

Together, we’ll look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck and practice new ways to respond. Depending on your needs, that might include working with thoughts and emotions, learning nervous system regulation skills, or understanding the connection between stress and physical symptoms. I’ll explain why we’re trying a tool and invite your honest feedback about whether it helps. I’m warm and direct, and I think we can take the work seriously while still making room to laugh.

What you can expect from me

I believe therapy should offer something useful from the start. Along with listening and getting to know you, I’ll help identify a challenge we can begin addressing and, when it fits, introduce a tool you can try in daily life. My goal is for you to leave our first session with a clearer understanding of what you’re experiencing and a practical first step toward improving your quality of life.
