Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, schizophrenia, PTSD, substance use disorders, and sleep disorders. I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that supports my patients’ mental wellness and enhances their overall quality of life.

I began my academic journey at Baltimore City Community College, where I earned my Associate Degree. I went on to receive my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating Cum Laude, from Walden University. I later completed my Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

With years of experience working with the State of Maryland as a psychiatric nurse, I have developed strong clinical expertise in both adolescent and adult psychiatry. I have had the privilege of serving underserved communities and diverse populations, which has strengthened my commitment to providing equitable and compassionate mental health care.

Fluent in English, I am passionate about helping individuals achieve emotional wellness and stability. I am committed to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care tailored to each person’s unique needs.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy cooking and spending quality time with my family.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is patient-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe that every individual’s mental health journey is unique, and I take the time to listen carefully, understand concerns, and collaborate with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan.

I utilize a holistic approach that considers the emotional, psychological, social, and biological factors that may be impacting mental health. My goal is not only to manage symptoms, but to enhance overall quality of life and promote long-term stability and wellness.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where your concerns are heard and respected. My priority is to ensure you feel comfortable, valued, and supported from the very beginning.

In this initial visit, I will conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which includes discussing your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle factors, and any previous treatments. This thorough assessment helps me gain a clear understanding of your unique experiences and needs.

My goal during the first session is to build trust, understand your individual challenges, and begin creating a clear path toward improved mental health and overall well-being. You will leave the session with a better understanding of your diagnosis, recommended treatment options, next steps, and a collaborative plan tailored to support your progress moving forward.
